This is by far one of my favorite trails during Springtime. This trail was restored last year by the Tujunga Posse crew, Kristin, Matt, and Sean.
Thus trail was destroyed in the 2009 Station Fire.
To get to the new trailhead you have to descend into Gold Canyon, hike through a wash until you reach the trail sign.
With the recent rains, some sections are washed out with downed trees.
However, there are pink trail markers to guide you through safely. I recently hiked this route and never got my feet wet.
Thus is a beautiful trail with lots of wildflowers.
My friends and I hiked all the way up to the Yerba Buena high point and then further to the water tank to eat our lunch.
We had 360-degree views of The surrounding San Gabriel Mountains such as; Lukens, Condor & Fox
Stats: 10 miles, 2000' gain
