Today I took a group to the Antelope Poppy Reserve. We were hoping to see lots of wildflowers due to the recent rains. Unfortunately, there were not as many poppies this year.
However. We stumbled upon fields loaded with an array of wildflowers including orange poppies, purple owl clovers and others.
These were located a few blocks away from the preserve off of ave I/110th and Lancaster Road/110th.
The reserve itself had lots of marigolds, owl clovers, lupine and a few orange poppies but not many.
After finding the mothership of poppies just a few blocks away we enjoyed a nice lunch at a Mexican restaurant..
